A Merchant Account enables you to process credit cards, debit cards, gift cards and electronic check transactions. How you process – stand alone terminal, internet or over the phone – is your business’ choice.
Checking your credit helps us determine the risk associated with sponsoring your card transactions. When you send a transaction for us to process, we typically credit your account and make those funds available for you within 2-3 business days. The transaction is also posted to your customer’s statement and they have the right to dispute any charges. If a dispute is opened, a chargeback may be generated and debited against your business checking account. In these situations, credit checks also help us ensure you have the funds to cover any potential chargebacks.
We typically respond within 24 hours after an application has been submitted for underwriting. However, exceptions will apply if additional information is needed. Once approved, your account will typically become active by midnight on the day of approval.
Terminals purchased through us will typically ship no later than the second business day after account approval. Delivery or pick up are also available, but optional.
Yes – we test every terminal shipped to ensure superior customer satisfaction.
Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and JCB are all accepted. However, American Express and JCB are subject to association approval.
A fixed percentage that is deducted from your transactions as a fee for collecting, assessing, approving, processing and settling credit card transactions.
